1. Havaianas for Everything: In Brazil, rubber flip-flops aren't just for the beach. In summer, they are perfectly acceptable at the mall, at a barbecue, at a bar, or even the bakery. It’s the ultimate symbol that you are in "summer mode."

2. Team Jerseys (But not the National Team's!): Brazilians love football, and in the summer, your favorite club's jersey becomes the official uniform. We use this expression to say that something is very typical of someone or somewhere.

2. "O Jeitinho Brasileiro" (The Brazilian Way)

3. "Dar um pulo" (To take a jump)

Don't be startled, nobody is actually jumping. "Dar um pulo" means to go somewhere quickly.

4. "Estar de boa" (To be chill/cool)

It's the official state of mind for January. It means to be relaxed, calm, with no worries.
